Vision of the Future – Shaping Tomorrow Through Erasmus+ Mobility

The Vision of the Future (Slovene: Vizija prihodnosti) project represents a dynamic and accredited set of mobility initiatives led by Šolski center Srečka Kosovela Sežana, aimed at empowering students and staff through international learning and professional experiences under the Erasmus+ program.
As part of the Key Action 1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals, the Vision of the Future project is officially accredited for Vocational Education and Training (VET), valid from 2021 to 2027, and supported by Slovenia’s national Erasmus+ agency, CMEPIUS – Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational Programmes.
Core Purpose and Opportunities
The main mission of Vision of the Future is to open doors for both students and educational staff to gain valuable international experience that enhances professional, personal, and cultural competencies. Through the mobility project, participants can:
Undertake practical training abroad with international host companies or partner schools.
Teach or deliver training in international settings as part of staff mobility.
Participate in job shadowing activities, specialized courses, or professional development programs abroad.
These mobility experiences are designed to strengthen workplace readiness, intercultural communication, and professional adaptability, essential skills in an increasingly globalized labor market.
Who Can Participate
Vision of the Future is open to:
Students enrolled in vocational education and training at ŠC Sežana, including recent graduates within one year post-graduation.
Teaching and administrative staff involved in vocational training and education.
Participants can choose between short-term mobilities (2 weeks to 3 months) or long-term placements (3 months to 1 year), tailoring their experience to their educational and career aspirations.
Strategic Impact and Inclusive Values
Vision of the Future aligns with both the European Union’s mobility goals and ŠC Sežana’s strategic development plan. The project emphasizes three core principles:
Inclusion and diversity, ensuring equitable access for learners with fewer opportunities.
Sustainability and environmental awareness, promoting green and responsible travel options.
Digital transformation, equipping participants with 21st-century digital skills.
Extra financial support is available for participants facing social, economic, geographic, health, or educational barriers, helping more learners benefit from the mobility experience.
In summary, Vision of the Future is not only about travel or internships—it’s a transformative Erasmus+ initiative fostering professional growth, intercultural competence, and lifelong learning for students and staff alike.
